Android Central Question

To choose between A52 or A52s 5g.

In room, wi-fi signal is weak through the walls. My g7 keeps disconnecting. Those 2 Samsung's are similar performers. The only serious matter is wi-fi antenna sensitivity, the only point of decision.

Can anyone try and measure/compare in real world, which one has more stable/stronger/better wi-fi reception on long distance from router via some walls? (just for 2,5g)?
Random, non scientific test.

I think the op is referring to home 5g vs home 2g.
In this case, for penetrating walls and further distance, 2g is better.

Yes, correct, thank you.
I'm not technician, but I wanted both phones be compared on the same wi-fi band - 2,4Ghz band.

I do understand 5G syntax in the name of phone.
Incorrectly i wrote 2.5g. There should be 2.4Ghz wi-fi band.
I wish both phones are compared side by side WiFi reception on the same band 2.4Ghz.
Do you have them, can you help me?
(No guessing about same antennas. Only simple real world test. That would help me so much, as literally every bar gained on reception will be significant.)

I've seen a few tests, and all show better penetration on 2g. On my S9+, I can't get 5g outside my house, but 2g is no problem. I can't be more precise than that. Good luck

Your thread title and original question still ask about the A52 vs the A52 5G, so it sounded like you're asking which variant works better for wi-fi -- is that correct? If so, I would still maintain that there would be no difference in the wi-fi reception, since the primary difference between the two variants would be the ability to use the 5G cellular bands.

Hello B.Diddy. yes, it's correct, I'm trying to find out, which model offers more reliable and also more sensitive wi-fi connection.
I'm not sure, if they're equal, as the A52s 5G offers wi-fi 6. So, hard to say, if there can be identical hardware.
In some artical on the net they doubt that wi-fi 6 makes device more capable to receive signal through the wall. I'm only afraid that newer device could be also step down in sensitivity, we never know until we try it.
(Not talking about speed, which certainly is improved).

I see mistake within text here.
You incorrectly mentioned A52 5G at post number 8. Please see name of thread. Usually I wrote complete name of model, which is A52s 5G, and sometimes I shorten it into 5G, which still means A52s 5G.
I should write complete name at post 9, as it leads into confusion. [Moderator note: I have now corrected it for you.]

ARGH, you're right, sorry. My brain must've been automatically reading it as A52 5G, and missed the "s". Sorry about that!

We all do mistakes. I'm actually professional in doing something wrong :) High skills!
I guess, I must take bus to big city and try to check those phones somehow in the shop.
Thank you for helping.
