WiFi connection problem

ive been using my S4 Exynos for five days now. i'm just having problems connecting my S4 through wifi. It says "obtaining ip adress" when i connect and after it connected suddenly it will return

into "obtaining ip adress" status. I learned from my internet provider that i need to remove the wifi's password and it worked. Also, i can change WPA2Mixed into WEP setting so i can connect,

problem is i cant use wifi for my laptop if it is in WEP settings. Any help for this problem? TIA

Samsung confirmed that the s4 has issues with certain routers. I spoke with them directly and they said that it has to do with the advanced security they put into the phone and that it's not cooperating with certain router. They said the routers need to be updated.

from what ever phone I feel like using today.

It should not have nothing to do with your router having a password. Maybe the router needs to be updated? How old it your router?

I think its quite outdated for the S4. i think my router needs some update. luckily i can use it whenever i remove the password
