WiFi Connection

So randomly this evening my phone dropped my wifi connection at home and it says "unable to connect to the wifi network" from the drop down menu, and under the wireless settings it says its obtaining IP address from my home network. I reset the phone, and my wireless router.Idont think its on the router side, since im on my wireless network with my laptop posting this. Anyone run into this problem before?

Yeah it happens wifi just stops working. Bunch of stuff HTC needs to fix still.

thats good to know, is there a fix for it? will a factory reset fix it or am i looking at having to go exchange it for different phone?

Mine holds WiFi just fine. At home when I drive into the driveway it locks on and holds solid until I leave the next day.

I have the same experience at several restaurants I frequent and at Barnes and Noble. Wifi is solid for me anywhere I go.

My router at home is a NetGear R6300.

Mine was doing that when my phone was set to auto. Switched it to 2.4ghz only and its been fine ever since.

I only started having WiFi problems after the last OTA update. I updated two days ago (after doing a full re-lock/unroot). When I got to work yesterday, my phone says it was still connected to my home WiFi but obviously there was no connection. I turned off the WiFi and it went to 3G/4G. When I got home last night, it could not connect to my WiFi until I did a reboot. This morning when I left, it again said it was connected to my home WiFi. Strange. Anyone else have this problem since the update?

Not me. Never had problems before the update with WiFi connecting, and no problems after either. And I switch through several different routers every day... although they are all WRT-54GL's running Tomato Toastman.

I messed around with every setting I could find, side note this happened before the update, but alas I finally broke down and tried a factory reset tonite. Poof, everything works again, so I have no clue what happened, but it is fixed now.
