WiFi dead...

I was on a long flight to Asia, and was using WiFi (United Airlines). About 2 hours before landing I noticed that I'm no longer connected to WiFi, and I don't see any network listed on my WiFi options window.

When I landed and came into the terminal I checked again and saw no WiFi networks, and the phone was continually scanning. Everyone knows that the Airport if full of WiFi networks, but my phone found none. I tried everything I could think of to restore WiFi functionality but nothing worked.

I called Google Warranty and in 2 days I had a replacement phone.
The additional pain was to configure my replacement phone from scratch because the unity that helps you copy the content from one phone to another, uses wifi..

Has anyone else here experienced WiFi failure?

What things did you try? Safe Mode? Cache wipe? Factory reset?

I haven't heard of total Wi-Fi failure on this device. Since you already replaced it I guess we won't be able to troubleshoot the problem.

Strange. I haven't seen this mentioned in the forums, but I might have missed it.

That is a strange issue. I guess it's possible that the radio simply died or somehow became disconnected, but that seems unlikely. Regardless, glad you've got it sorted out now.
