Wifi direct - New feature for phones that hasn't really been discussed too much

Not only stream but download pics, video, music and other files from one phone to the other using just the two devices and nothing else...no wireless router/hotspot/access point needed. I remember hearing about this feature but forgot all about it so I'm posting in case anybody else did too. The speed beats transfers over Bluetooth ! Here's a how-to-video using two Galaxy sII's

as I am in China I cannot access youtube: i wonder, if it may be possible to upload it to YOUKU (chinese "youtube")
