WiFi disconnect

My Kindle Fire frequently disconnects from my WiFi during sleep mode. Pressing the on button in WiFi settings does not work so I have to reboot to get the WiFi back. My WiFi works fine with any other device. Has anyone else had this problem? Solutions? Thanks!

Wifi disconnects automatically every time it goes to sleep. usually for mine, I have to wait 5 seconds for it to reconnect.

Except that mine never does reconnect. I have to shut it down and restart it every time.

I would return it to Amazon and get another.

Update your Kindle to 6.2 and see if it fixes the problem. The response time seems to be faster.

At first I thought the update helped, but then it just went back to the same thing.

Before you decide to return it to Amazon, test the Fire on a different wireless connection or router and see if the problem still occurs to make sure it's not the router that is the problem.
