Wifi dropping after update to Android 7.0

[AC Question]

My Wifi on Samsung Glaxy s7 keeps on dropping after i updated to Android 7. Sometimes it shows it is connected to the wifi but when you look at the wifi connection it shows that wifi is connected but NO INTERNET. But i can connect all my other devices to the same wifi

I was having the same issues after the update and it almost seemed like my device was bringing down my home WiFi network. I for a clean on my system and removed my wifi from phone. Unplugged router for 5 minutes and plugged back in have not had a problem since. Mine might have been a freak occurance but might be worth a shot

After the Nougat update, there was a patch sent down the pike that had something to do with WiFi. It was just a week or so ago.
Did you install that patch?

I had the March security update a few weeks ago but I still have the wifi problem

My history shows an update ending in A2, which I imagine is the 7.0 upgrade and A4, which is probably the patch. However, it still drops wi-fi every time the screen is turned off and takes a good 30 seconds to reconnect when I bring the screen up again. Before updating, even if the wi-fi did drop, it was ready by the time I could get an app open that used it.
