WiFi for HTC10

Guys, I just upgraded from my great almost 3 years old HTC One M8 to the HTC 10 and the Wifi range and speed is very, very weak. I used to be able to watch videos on my bed or in the kitchen (I live in a small apartment and the Wifi router is in the middle) but with the 10 I have terrible speed, the Wifi symbol only shows one line and navigating the internet is a crawl... is there something I can do to fix this? Everything worked perfectly on the M8...
Also, the Bluetooth range is very poor as well (2 meters, tops) and the proximity sensor dosent work very well because if I take my ear 1 cm of the phone the screen turns on and I click on stuff (mute calls, turn off calls, etc(, which is also very annoying.
