I recently got the S-Pen Tab A to use at work as I am a PE teacher and do not want a laptop in the gym for attendance and grading.

Our school has a WiFi connection that requires re-authentication after 3 hours (it helps keep the students off), and my Tab A has been requiring me to re-authenticate after it enters sleep mode.

I have the WiFi set to stay on even during sleep, so why is this happening?

I'm having to re-authenticate every time I pick it up rather than twice per day.

Anyone know how I can change this?

Do you have any power saving modes turned on? That may override that wi-fi setting you mentioned.

That was a link to a video lol

Rick Astley totally cleared the dance floor, I guess. :p

Check the Settings>Battery graph, and see if it shows wi-fi remaining on constantly, even if the device is asleep. That can help us figure out if the problem is due to wi-fi inappropriately turning off while asleep.

Nothing happens when I touch the graph

Kind of like asking for help on here 😤

Yeowtch.

I can't understand why some manufacturers take away certain features, like the ability to expand the battery graph to fullscreen, thus showing information about the cell signal, wi-fi radio, and awake state. Try installing a 3rd party battery monitor like GSam to get that info.

I've given up...returned this piece of junk tablet lol

Your device probably turns off wifi and when you go back to use it, probably have to request for a new ip so it needs that authentication thing your school has.
