Wifi is killing Droid Turbo 2 Battery

I turned WiFi off at work, and well, nine hours later...

I am bowing out of the research. I physically see it is off from any menu. But the battery bar is going across like it is on.

If this is a bug, so be it. I may have found my auto on/off app so I am good there. But it is just weird the battery menu claims it is on. But I am still mid 90s in battery remaining after unplugging three hours ago and depending on how much I surf may significantly lower that, but I made it from 7:10a to 1:15a yesterday without a charge, albeit in the upper teens when I went to bed. Still, the battery had heavy use and did its job. I intentionally didn't charge in the car to see what would happen once I got home and truly was on WiFi.

It is what it is I suppose. I am just nit picky at this point if it is a display bug and not a legitimate bug to worry about.

I found a WiFi on-off app that works for Marshmallow.

But WiFi, even when off in the pulldown menu from the top of the screen, shows as being active when I go to the battery status and click into it to see what is using my battery. Solid green bar.

Battery drains will occur UNLESS I reboot on the way to work, at which WiFi is then shown as truly off and no drain or solid green bar. You wouldn't think this would be an issue on a big battery phone, yet it is.

Therefore, it is bugged. I have done too much research on this -- inadvertently as I searched for a perfect WiFi on/off app -- to know it is.

Not sure what else I can do. :(
