First off, I will apologize if this has been covered already, but I didn't find it searching. This isn't a major issue or a deal breaker by any means, but after a few days without rebooting my phone I have all sorts of connectivity issues with my WiFi. It doesn't seem to matter what access point I use, and if I turn WiFi off, wait a minute and turn it back on the issue is resolved for a few hours, sometimes a day or more. I live in an area that doesn't even have 3G coverage let alone 4G, I am near WiFi a lot so I just leave it on all the time. I had this same issue with my Samsung Moment also. Other than this I can use my phone for weeks without any issues or hang ups that require a power cycle. I do not use an app killer of any sort and I get a full days use pretty easy, so I seldom power it down for anything. Sorry for the long post, thanks for any input!

Make sure your wifi is set not go to sleep. From the home screen:

Menu > Settings > Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi settings > Menu > Advanced > Wi-Fi sleep policy > Never

Even with that set, your wifi will occasionally still disconnect. Either cycle your wifi radio as you're already doing, or reenter the wifi settings page and manually reselect your preferred AP.

This problem is not unique to the EVO, the disconnects seem to be an Android issue.

roothog: My wifi was already set to never go to sleep. As you said, I think this is an Android issue and not an issue with the EVO. Not a major issue, just was hoping someone had found a simple fix for it or something that I was doing wrong maybe.
