Wifi Issues After Update

Hey there---hoping I might be able to get some pointers on a newer issue...

It seems after I upgraded to 5.1.1 I have been having crazy bad issues with my phone on WiFi (appears popped up to after I got the Wifi calling update from T-mobile maybe?). My phone will still connect to my WiFi network and show a strong signal but nothing will work--Facebook will try to update then advise of a connection issue, no webpages will load, and everything else data related doesn't work. I don't have a "!" or anything next to the WiFi symbol. If I toggle WiFi off and back on, the internet will work for a few minutes then back to not working. Any thoughts?

Btw, I have pretty much isolated this to my phone. I have other smartphones, computers, and a tablet on the WiFi network with no issues

That's strange. I have a N6 on T-Mobile with 5.1.1 and no issues whatsoever. I am using a Asus AC1900 on a 5ghz band. Have you tried rolling back to another version?

Like tinytsax, I'm also on TMobile and having no problems with wifi calling, but I do have a few links to wifi troubleshooting docs that I can share with you.

I have no technical savvy of my own to give, but I'd say you're right to narrow your focus to your N6, especially in terms of possible problems between the N6 and your router or problems caused by apps that need to be updated or uninstalled. Something as simple as resetting your router to clear its cache might help.

Although it was probably an update from 5.1 to 5.1.1, did you do a wipe after the update? Even though the OTA may have done a wipe (I sideloaded mine so it wiped automatically) you may want to to a factory wipe. If nothing else, reboot into recovery and clear cache.

I recomend you to wipe, factory reset. And yeah, does it happen with all wifi AP, Routers? If not only with your than change wifi channel (I'm talking about 5Ghz and most AC standart.)

Thanks for the advice from all those above. I haven't tried it with any other WiFi besides mine but was working flawless with mine prior. I'm going to do a factory reset first. I haven't done it on this phone yet so it might be overdue. If its still doing it I'll try an older router. To answer your question, I have a dual band and have tried both bands with no avail. I tried a different channel even and no luck. I'll keep you posted on what I find.
