I am continuing to have wifi issues with my thunderbolt. I have 2 droid incredibles in my household without any issues with wifi. On my bolt, even though I have the sleep policy set to never, it still seems to go to sleep after not using the phone for a while. I have tried wifi fixer, which seems to help with reconnecting, but not with the disconnecting problem. I have tried checking the best wifi performance box in the advanced menu, but that really sucks the battery down. Anyone else see this and have any solutions?

I had that happen once or twice in the past.... usually resetting the router and then setting up the wifi all over again from the phone fixes it.

What OS are you running?

I have continuously had this exact same issue with pretty much every Gingerbread ROM I have run. On Froyo it works fine, but when I install a GIngerbread ROM the problem comes back. I've tried just about every radio out there, so I'm pretty sure it's OS related and not a specific radio issue. Granted, I haven't tried the most recent Gingerbread leak yet, but it is the #1 drawback I've noticed so far with the newer OS.

If I turn WIFI on, whenever my phone goes to sleep, it basically puts my phone in airplane mode, and no data comes in at all. For the past month or so, I've just been running in straight 3G or 4G data mode...Good thing I have unlimited data!

I am unrooted and running the stock os. This also seems to happen whether I am in the same room with the router or in another part of the house.
