Heya!

Wondering if anyone had any ideas. My 64gb Verizon Note 5 has issues with wifi. It seems to only happen after the device has been sleeping but what is happening is it stays connected to the wifi but will not pass traffic. A simple toggle off and on of the wifi fixes it. My access point shows that it never loses its connection and this only happens on the Note 5 and not any of the other devices on the network.

I've tried:

Factory Reset
Forgetting the network and rejoining
Made sure the settings to keep wifi active is set to always on

Welcome to Android Central! In the advanced wi-fi settings, is there an Wi-fi Optimization option? If so, turn it off (it's for battery saving, not to improve reception). Also try turning off Smart Network Switch, if present.

So i've been messing with it and watching it over the past few days and it seems to be random. I could leave it overnight and its fine but then let it sleep for 5 min and it shows it connected but it doesn't actually pass traffic

Thanks!! Now at least I can quit messing with it. Although it is a pain because I like to use air droid and when the connection goes sour it won't connect.
