wifi keeps turning off and on every 5 minutes

I've been having this phone for 6 months and I have never had any problems with my WiFi until now. During the week, I turned on my WiFi and I wanted to go on the internet and surf the web. But while It was loading, my WiFi turned off for a good 5-10 seconds and then turned back on. It does this every 5 minutes.
It's been doing this since I updated. Please can anyone help me ? :/ and I also did the factory reset and it still does the same thing.

Others have been complaining about this problem since the update...myself included.
I read on here that the work around was to go to wifi advanced settings and set the wifi to static ip and it'll stop that. I done that to mine and it seems to have helped.

It still doesn't work ( but I appreciate it so I guess its the update?

I believe it is the update that done this....I never had this issue until I installed the update.

Awww I just hope theres another update. Or I hope the people who made this update will patch this. But thank you ))

Glad I found this because I thought it was my router. Ive had the same problems also. Hopefully a fix will come soon.

Thanks for this thread, it did help. After reading the comment of Mastertech, i had a clue, like i followed.... wife- advance setting- but instead of checking STATIC IP, i went to Wi-fi Sleep Policy, under it, I have noticed that my phone status was under """WI-Fi will switch off when my screens turns off"""so I just unchecked and changed into ""NEVER"" and that solve the problem.. Thanks
