I have a new (to me) Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 with LTE obtained from work. I've had a Tab 2 Wifi only for a few years.

In any case, at work, we have an open WiFi connection. However, I want to restrict using it and prefer LTE. Problem is, my tablet keeps turining WiFi on (i have it off in settings) and wanting to switch to that over LTE.

Anything I can do?

Do you have a setting in WiFi>menu>advanced?

From a Carbon M8 and AC Forums app

Aha!

Yes, I do. It seems there's an "Auto-connect" which will connect to known wifi networks when wifi is off. Thank you!

Disabled!

(In this case, I have unlimited data and LTE is faster than the wifi.)

To make sure, that fixed it?

Yes, there's an option that scans even with the WiFi off...
That's on by default, which I think it's a mistake...
Since it causes the issue you found, and also is a battery drainer...
