wifi loses connection after "x" minutes

while watching netflix or browsing on the net or whatever i am doing on the internet on the phone after sometimes 20 minutes my wifi just quits. what i mean is it still shows i have "connection" but like for instance if im on the net it comes up and says the page cannot be found. also it i am watching netflix it will say cannot find netflix server. i have to turn off/on the wifi in order for the net to work. it happens rather i am at my home connection or my wifi at work. also i know there are other people connected to the wifi i have at work and dont have any issues so i know its not the wifi connection.

i am not rooted.
i am running 4.0.2

and here randomly i been getting random reboots but i dont have any apps installed besides "chrome beta, my bank, pandora, netflix, and wallet" so i know for a fact its not any of thoes apps that are causing the issues. i have also dont a factory reset to see if that would fix the issues and it didnt.

I have also done a search here on the forums under the verizon galaxy nexus and could not find any information reguarding a fix for either issue.

No I was experiencing the same problems with my samsung galaxy nexus. I went on the market and found an app call wifi unlocker. It fix my wifi connection problem. Also make sure your router is named 1 name instead of 2. Before my router had 2 words, after I changed it to 1 word it helped a lot. There is no doubt the wifi on locker will fix your problems. Oh yeah I got my wifi unlocker of getjar apps market.

Mine would disconnect if the phone "slept" too long.

I downloaded "wifi fixer" from the market and it keeps it connected all the time. I don't know why it disconnects but it did it on my Thunderbolt too. Wifi fixer will reconnect wifi as soon as your phone disconnects. Nice app!

well the wifi thing will happen while i am watching a movie or what ever so i dont know why it will go to "sleep" so to say....
