wifi not connected

My new Tab 3 8.0 keeps dropping wifi connection displaying ' connection is weak ' despite the fact that all my other devices are wifi connected when checked.
Will not connect despite the fact that I have disconnect and reconnected my modem and router a few times.
Any info will help me as I am frustrated that this device is not working out.
 
Have you tried using the wifi at any other location other then at home? Try it at Starbuck or some our public place, that should tell you if it's a problem with your tablet. If that is the case then exchange it for one that works.......I have had no problem with the wifi on my Tab 3 8.0.
