Android Central Question

When I woke up today, my wifi couldn't connect. It is now 6 pm and it still is not connecting. When I try to connect it asks for my password, then says "authenticating...." and then either says "saved" or "authentication problem", waits a few seconds, then says "authenticating..." again and makes me put in my password once more. This repeats until I give up.

Ive tried
-restarting my phone (and turned it off, left it off for like 10 mins and turned it back on)
-trying to turn on the wifi while in airplane mode
-checking to see if my phone can connect to other sources (it does, both to starbucks wifi and shaw open)
-making sure my password is correct

My laptop connects fine and my roommate said that, while she had the problem this morning as well, it fixed itself within ten minutes.

My phone is an LG k10

Thanks!

This sounds like a dorm situation, where you have no access to the router. It could be that there are no more slots available in the router (in dorms they often don't set them for more than about half the number of people in the dorm, assuming that no one stays connected all the time - bad assumption these days).

Since another device connects, and your phone connects to wifi (just not your wifi), the only thing you can do is forget that connection, restart the phone, then carefully put your password in. If that still doesn't work, you'll have to talk to the people who run the router.
