Recently my android tablet has gone haywire... Every router it tries to connect to reads 'not in range' when it is, and I'm 100% sure of this because it worked fine at the distance I am away from the router before. It's not a wifi issue as my phone and laptop connects to the Internet fine with no issues whatsoever. Just a note, the only android device I have is my tablet. The wifi will only connect if I am literally within reaching distance of the router. If I take a couple of steps away it disconnects. My android version is 4.2.2 and my model number is A1-830, with the make being Acer if any of that helps. Thanks.

Are you sure your router is not defective? Can you try another device to see if that device works with the router? If it does then your tablet may have a loose antenna connection or some other defect. If under warranty try to get it fixed that way.
