Wifi not turning on after software update

[AC Question]

I did an Android software update on my Samsung Tab S which I have had for over 3 yrs and now I cannot turn WiFi on!
I have rebooted a few times, toggled WiFi, Power saving, Bluetooth, Airplane mode etc to no avail. What else should I try to resolve this annoying development?
