Wifi Notifications Issue?

Hello!
I just upgraded from the Evo 4g LTE. So far so good except for one issue. I'm having problems w/ wifi notifications showing available networks even though I have the option turned off. I did a search and saw that several folks have had the issue but no resolution that I found. Is this a bug w/ 4.3 or am I missing a setting? My apologies if I overlooked the thread that addresses this issue.

Not overlooked as far as I've seen however there are many threads about it. No fix as of yet but hopefully there's going to be a patch soon that will address it or maybe it will be in Kit Kat.

i had it happen a couple of times in kit kat but it seems to have been solved.


try rebooting your phone after disabling the notifications.

i have also turned off "scanning always available" in case that does not solve it for you.


edit: BTW i never had this problem in 4.3 - only when i updated to 4.4 so i believe there is something you can do to fix it.
