Quick question if my Moto 360 always had a Wifi antenna, why did it take Motorola so long to activate it?

I don't think Android Wear supported wifi until 5.1.1.

Yes, Android Wear started to support Wi-Fi feature with 5.1.1, not only Moto 360, also other Wi-Fi capable devices could not use this feature because of prior AW versions. Problem was not Motorola, it was Google.

I didn't even know the 360 had wifi, that's awesome! Finally just happened to go through the settings menu today after I got the update like 2 days ago and saw the wifi option! So cool!

For those connecting via wifi, are you also having an issue that it disables the wifi and goes into a battery saving mode as soon as it drops to 80% battery left? Seems a bit early in battery life to have something like that kick in.

It's only cool until

1) You see what it does to the battery.
2) You see it cut off to "save power" even when you have tons of battery left.
3) You find out it is unreliable and slow.
4) You realize it doesn't use any of the saved WiFi settings from the phone and you have to enter passwords again.

It is a cool concept, just implemented poorly so far...

Yes. It has to be a nasty bug.

When using the WiFi feature on the Moto 360,I am unable to reply to text or get weather updates by using the Google Now app. It says can't connect with Google. Any thoughts?

Hmm that's not been my experience. I've only noticed it on WiFi when I'm at work and far away from my phone on my desk. Everything works as advertised. Battery life was good (enough) and now seems even better. Maybe my SoC has a better/higher binning.

Many have reported this, me too. Who knows.

Yeah, almost sounds like we have to totally different 360's. Many others have reported one or more of the 4 problems I listed. At some point I might try the ultimate "fix" and do this: http://forums.androidcentral.com/moto-360/471939-what-do-when-360-misbehaves.html

Used to be easier, but as I have "perfected" how I like it set up and such, it is more painful to start over.

This is happening to me as well. I can reconnect out, and our disconnects again immediately. It'll be nice to get this bug fixed.
