wifi question

Ive been noticing that when i dont touch my phone for a while my wifi has been turning off. when i turn the screen on i see the wifi start to turn on again. I guess the wifi was on sleep mode. After messing with the settings for a little, i went into the advanced settings and changed the wifi sleep policy to never. Should i have done this or no?

yes this is a good thing.... it will also save battery

yeah you could... I leave mine on all the time, because at work my room has poor 3g reception but strong wifi. If i had the sleep policy at 15 minutes, then it would kill my battery to maintain a 3g signal.

I went just now to check mine, and it was already set to never. Interesting. On a related note, what does the "Best WiFi Performance" option do?

Any one compared evo3d vs evo or epic 4g on wifi speeds..My evo3 is averaging between 9-10 down vs my wifes epic 13-14 down.. Side by side test on speed test..Just curious.. Also tried settings on wifi and enabled best performance. Thanks

My WiFi speeds are outstanding on my FiOS network. Downloading 300MB files in seconds on the 3VO is new to me compared to my BB.

Yeah me speeds are still good but I've read that everyone has better WiFi speeds on the EVO3 than their previous device..
