I leave my wifi on all the time. But there are times that I will get my phone trying to connect to a network and it can't. Usually it is the type of network that you have sign in while in a web browser. The problem is, since it technically an open network it jumps to connect, leaving my phone with no data connection because it is on a wifi and not using my 4G. And the worst part is it will stay this way until I turn off the wifi. Is there anything I can do to keep this from happening. Some setting I am missing? Thanks in advance.

I notice that when there are open networks I get a message telling me that they are available, but it doesn't affect my data connection until I actually sign in and get an IP ADDRESS.

Not here. It seems to do it automatically for me. For example I go to hit my shazam widget and it will take me to my browser to sign in, and shazam wont work until I disable my wifi

I have the same problem sometimes....I just use a wi-fi toggle switch to turn it on or off...also when it happens to you again just click on the open network then click forget so it doesn't happen again

I have a similar problem. I use WiFi at work, as a "guest" with guest password and username. I had problems connecting and accidentally hit " forget" in the settings. Now I can't get back to it. It says "not in range". I can't get to the screen to enter the user and password either. Can anyone help? Thanks.
