I'm having an issue with my LG Optimus V connecting to the establishing internet access when picking up the signal from my wifi repeater. (In order to boost the signal in my home I have a repeater (channel 8) in addition to my router (channel 10)) When I'm connected to the router I have internet access. However, if I move out of range or the phone picks up the signal from the repeater it will connect to wifi but no internet access.
However, if I turn my phone off and on again it will usually be able to access the internet through the repeater. If I get closer to the router it will pick up that signal and I have internet access. If I got back to the repeaters signal no access. The repeater is working properly as I have a PC using that to access the internet and it works the no issues. There?s something going on with the phone. Any help would be welcomed.

Well, at my school I can connect to the network wifi with my OV, and its the same network all over campus, but whenever I move to another area, like you I have the wifi signal but no access. Its just because its not really connected, the phone just thinks it is because its named the same thing. If you turn wifi off then on when near the repeater I'm thinking that should allow you access, without rebooting.

Thanks anthonycr. I did try to turn off the wifi on the phone in order to gain internet access however when I turned it back on I still had the same issue. My phone was connected to wifi but couldn't access the internet.

Sounds like an IP conflict.
As that was my issue at least.
Try using WiFi Static (free in market)

That's pretty strange...

I use my HTC Desire with an Amped repeater (this) without problem but it used to have a problem with my old Linksys repeater and I'd have to toggle the wireless on and off. You could try WiFi Static (as suggested above) or go into the settings on the repeater and do the same thing without installing anything on your phone. Just set your phones Mac to a static IP rather than one given by the DHCP.
