wifi tether for root

Quick question. Is it normal After the wifi tether for root users app is turned on and then off your phone restarts and you get " activation " pop up? It seems weird to me that it does this after everytime i use it.

I'm confused. Why do you need an app? I just turn my tether on and it works. Am I missing something?

yeah thats why I asked.. I thought it was weird.. ill give barnacle a try for a while and see if that does anything different.

edit never mind.. I get an unexpected error when trying to start tether with barnacle.



any advice>?

I am unlocked, rooted, stock recovery, running franco's updater kernel r196

factory reset here i go!

been having connectivity, freezing and random reboots that started just this month. this is just one more thing thats pushed me to fr it. I haven't done a reset since I rooted 5 months ago anyway

You could try a custom ROM that's close to stock like Bugless Beast that has WiFi enabled in the ROM so you don't need to used a third party appp
