Wifi tether on stock 4.2?

anyone getting tethering working on 4.2? the built in tether doesnt work (no internet connection), and wifi tether (app) doesnt work either, im getting apn errors but my apn settings are working.
Do i need to install a custom kernel?

Mine works. Currently using tether... Gnex + n7 = tether

Ditto here; I also use it at work to test laptops's VPN access as the office is too cheap to provide me an external line to work with...
