Wifi tether problem

I've activated the hotspot using quick settings but my computer says there is no internet access, am I missing a step?

I don't know why but I used hotspot widget instead of quicksettings and it worked. I also changed the network name, not sure which fixed it but I'm good to go now.

Quicksettings and Hotspot Widget enable the same thing.

As Franz said, it can take a minute or two to enable internet. I too thought it was broken.
