WiFi Tether?

I am stock ics unrooted on razr maxx hd. Foxfi used to work but now my laptop restarts every time i try to connect to foxfi. I tried to connect to foxfi bluetooth but i couldn't get to the page in which bluetooth connects to internet on my laptop.

Is there a free wifi tether app for unrooted razr maxx hd that still works? I don't mind paying for an app but i don't want to pay only to find it doesn't work when we get the jb update.

I am on verizon wireless and do not pay for their wifi tether and i am on a granfathered unlimited data plan. I read one guy got in trouble for using pdanet on an ATT phone. Obviously I don't want that either.

Loaded new PDANet+ and also FOXFI per their instructions. Device shows a connection but unable to find using other devices. After reading a few reviews I changed the configuration file while FOXFi is active and it works great.

Here's what I did to get it to work as it appears my SSID is turned off by default.

-Activate WiFi Hotspot in FoxFi (after certificate and connection tethering option appears on top)

-Open for Tethering or Mobile Hotspot from top menu bar
-Select Mobile Hotspot settings
-Select Configure Mobile Hotspot
-Check box for Broadcast SSID
-Select Broadcast Channel and change from Auto to select a channel between 1 through 11
-Save

App will ask to save and restart.
(If the Verizon check appears, stop FoxFi and restart)

Now this works as before the JB update.
