Android Central Question

When I connect to the phone with Windows, it says it's connected to the internet, but then whenever I try to go on a web page, it tells me I'm offline. I tried connecting to other wifi networks with the computer and it seems to work fine. And I tried connecting to other wifi networks with the phone, and that's fine too, so the antenna is a-OK!

I've been using the tethering feature for a while now, and it's been very reliable to me. HOWEVER, my phone screen broke, and it started touching itself. It was fine, and I still used the phone as regular, including tethering, and just shut the screen off whenever the phone would go whacko, BUT THEN.

It started touching itself while I wasn't looking, and the tethering mysteriously broke. Now I can only tether via USB and PDA+Net, but this isn't ideal, and puts a serious strain on my usb to phone cord.

Welcome to Android Central! Which carrier do you have? Are you certain you haven't exceeded a monthly limit for tethering? Wireless carriers often have some kind of limit for tethered data per month.
