wifi tethering on jellybean (razr maxx no root)

I used to be able to tether on my razr maxx with no root through Foxfi. After the jelly bean upgrade, it no longer works. What app should I download?

Need to tether ipad to razr maxx. I have a limited data plan, so it should totally be legal.

I don't have the razr maxx (have GNex) but when I lost access on Foxfi, as you did, I had to buy the PdaNet+ - I think it was about $8 - to get my access back. Apparently pdaNet acquired Foxfi and they no longer do the free tethering deal. Bu it is still better than paying a monthly fee to Verizon IMO.

I'm having same issue and i downloaded pdanet+ and still no...im trying to figure it out. Keep me posted.

Aparently I'm on a limited data plan which existed before they created a "share everything" plan that allows tethering and charges more.
So basically they are asking me to pay to access the data i already pay for. Is this a violation of the fcc ruling?

Any work arounds? Would prefer not to root

yah its a no go verizon locked it up with jelly bean the only way to hot spot now is to root or just live with the tether cord sry

Anyone got a step by step tutorial for dummies on how to root with a mac?
