WiFi turns on automatically, how do i stop this?

hi, i have a tmobile samsung galaxy s4, when i turn off my WiFi it turns back on automatically after 30 seconds or so, this is constantly happening throughout the day and i have no clue why.

does anyone have any ideas how to stop this?

When you have wifi on, you should be able to click the menu button for advanced options. There might be something there that is keeping it on.

i tried playing around with the options but nothing, its really killing my battery.

there is something in the settings for it to always search even if off. that what fixed mine after i noticed it was staying on in the battery meter even when off.

no just recently, within the last 4 days.

Menu>System Settings>Wifi>uncheck Auto connect.

i think it might be fixed, i didnt know there was an update, so far so good and it hasnt been turning on automatically.

Mine has been doing it since last week. I tried the fix, so we shall see.
