I have a Verizon S7E...is anyone else having extremely poor WiFi performance? All my other device connect and work flawlessly. But these two phones (me and my wife) are horrible. Any ideas???

I'm sitting in front of the router and it refuses to connect. In the mean time it connected automatically at a Hastings.

Option 1: Reset network settings on your phone
Reboot

Option 2: Disable ipv6 on your router
Reboot

Option 3: Reboot your router.
Reboot your phone.

Option 4: Clear cache partition in recovery.
Reboot phone.

See if that helps.

Marshmallow has a Wifi bug.

So I've heard. Done those things. If I do just a restart WiFi will work flawlessly for about 30 mins and then just go down the tubes. Guess I'll wait for red to push a fix.

My router is government owned. Afraid they'd be mad if I touched it.

Have you tried a wifi analyzer to see what your system is doing? I use inSSider3 on the PC and Wifi Analyzer on the cell. My S7e connected to my system immediately on both 2.4 and 5G and is extremely fast.

Sorry to disagree, but its got to be an s7, S7 edge issue. I've got the S7 edge, and am having both the wifi issue and data issues. I've also got an S6 edge and lg v10 both running marshmallow, both running perfectly with zero issues. Bye the way, my S6 edge is right up there with the S7 edge. Even battery life has dramatically improved with MM. Verizon sending me a new sim to see if that helps. If not, its swapperoo time.

My problem got so bad the last few days that I actually went over on my data. Pretty pretty peeved. Verizon can't find a fault with my phone.

I think it's a Verizon included bug. I'm convinced they make changes to devices to make them use more mobile data. In this instance they make the WiFi so bad you have no choice but to use mobile data. Quite the rip off.
