Is there any hope of being able to use Wiimote to BT a Wii Remote to the Fascinate?
I would love to have some SNES NHL 94 on my phone..

Does anyone know if it's software or hardware restricting this from working?

Have you tried the app called "wiimote controller"? It is free, and it looks like there are payable versions as well.

can only have a wiimote paired to 1 device. Also, need to have some sort of reference points for the movement part to work, as the sensor is in the wiimote and all the little bar is are infrared LEDs.

So it is doable (I have a few paired to my computer), but not without buying a new unpaired wiimote or dumping the device info out of one you already own.

As to whether or not it would work beyond simply pairing? haven't a clue.

I know the wiimote will pair with some Androids no problem.
I've paired one to a Droid 1 and also to a Droid X.
No special dumping/pairing was needed.
The Wiimote app did all the work.
Most HTCs will not pair due to the Bluetooth stack loaded with HTC Sense.
I'm wondering if the Fascinate's BT stack is also limited by the kernel loaded on the device and whether there is a work around for it.

TouchWiz is limited just like Sense. Wish I could find the source where I first saw it. I'm sure it was on XDA.

Damn. Go figure!
I really wanted to play SNES on my phone.
Maybe I'll just buy an SNES and forget about it.
