I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Want to upgrade my MicroSD card. I am aware that the official Samsung Website says that the maximum is 128Gb, but I have seen various comments online alluding to being able to use both 256Gb and 512Gb. Can anyone confirm this? And please only if you have tried to use the full capacity, otherwise it could be a false reading.

Thanks

Everything I've read is up to 128gb capacity.
256 and 512 I belive didn't come out until much later in Samsung phones .

I moved this from the Site Feedback forum (which is for feedback about the Android Central site itself) to the Note 4 forum for more specific traffic.

I haven't tried it myself, but I would say that it's an SDXC slot, which is designed to handle up to 2 TB. One of the reasons the official specs say it handles up to 128 GB may be that at the time, that was the largest card that was widely available, and therefore was the largest card that Samsung could officially test. (The first 256 GB microSD card was released around 2016, while the Note 4 was released in 2014: https://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2016/5/10/11651020/samsung-massive-256gb-microsd-card.)
