This is more of a speculation question. To me it sounds like TMobile getting low band should really level the playing field in due time. Some online feel it won't and think TMobile will do a bandaid build with it. curious what others think

As an example, will they have a good chance to reach broad coverage within a reasonable amount of time? Also, how will TMobile compare in the capacity Dept since Verizon has all that mm wave

It will be interesting to see how this helps them in rural areas and in buildings (which their signal seems to struggle to penetrate well). I hope it does level the playing field to keep verizon and att on their toes. Only time will tell.

700 is why Verizon got to where they got. 600 will only help T-Mobile.

As long as John Legere is the boss, T-Mobile won't half you know what it. They purchase almost 40 mhz on average nation wide 600mhz spectrum. Coupled with pretty much the same amount of 700mhz which btw still isn't fully built out. I can tell you the 700mhz alone here has made a big difference that in terms of coverage and especially speed. Here's a cheat sheet of the big 4 bands they support LTE on.

It could be a really big deal; unfortunately the LG V30 is the only phone available now. There may be others later this year but probably will have to wait to next year.

I wouldn't worry about it now, it's going to take a bit of time to roll this out. And they plan on only hitting low coverage areas first.

Oh, they got A LOT more 600 spectrum than 700... When they got the 700 stuff, it was only to augment.. it has significantly less bandwidth than band 4.

600, in the other hand, if you are in the area with the full bandwidth, should be capable of speeds in excess of 100mbps with great range and penetration. Once fully rolled out, based on the map, rural and less developed areas (which typically got more bandwidth in this auction) may/should have better network speeds and coverage than the built up networks in populated areas today.

T-Mobile announced today that the Un-carrier has significantly expanded its LTE network to cover 322 million people, up from 315 last year, bringing coverage to entirely new places. In fact, T-Mobile has lit up its new 600 MHz spectrum, and it’s already live in 586 cities and towns. In 2018, T-Mobile will launch more than a dozen new 600 MHz capable smartphones, ranging from budget-friendly phones to superphones.

On October 10th T-Mobile announced a partnership with Fox Television Stations to accelerate relocation of WWOR-TV in New York City by 16 months. This agreement and pending agreements with other stations will allow T-Mobile deploy 600 MHz in 2018 to 38 million people in addition to 62 million who live in the areas already clear for deployment. See Q3 Investor Factbook.
