Will a GoPhone sim card work with a Galaxy S4?

I have an At&t GoPhone, with GoPhone sim card. I want to use the Galaxy S4 that I was given. I want to cut the sim card into a micro sim card, but I am not sure if a GoPhone sim will be compatible with a new phone like the S4. Can any type of sim card be cut down and work with new phones?
