Will a Moto X work on Tracfone?

Hello,

Tracfone now has a "bring your own phone" option. They ask for CDMA phones. I was wondering if a Verizon or Sprint Moto X would work with Tracfone. I am looking at getting an off contract phone from the Motomaker site.

Welcome to the forums.
I would call Tracfone, and ask if they know which device version would work better. Or, if you can find which bands Tracfone works on, get the phone that matches those. If I had to guess, I would say Verizon.

what did you learn? i know that tracfone is using verizon for their android phones. question is if the verizon version of moto x will work on tracfone. did you find it out? thanks

This is something I'd like to know too- If my Dev Edition Verizon Moto X will work on Tracfone and/or Straight Talk. I'm moth to month on Verizon and am tired for spending over 90/month.

i asked rep. at tracfone. i got a very simple answer. yes if it is unlocked. unlocked moto x cdma is around $600... ugh...
