Android Central Question
Hi there, it's a bit of a bizarre question but I am desperate.
I dropped my Samsung J3 Prime in some hot water about a month ago and have kept it in rice since then. Being busy, I wasn't able to really fiddle with it, but I discovered that upon turning on the device it would boot up, stay on for about thirty seconds on the unlock screen, and then shut off. What was peculiar was that the touch itself functioned (I could hear my taps being inputted through the speaker) but the screen would remain black. I took it upon myself to open up the screen and sure enough, there was water damage so I ended up removing it, intending to replace it.
It's now a month later and I'm waiting pensively for the replacement to come in.
The worry in me is that the screen will still not work, and in that case, I was wondering if there was any way the phone could still turn on without a screen attached so I can get the photos and music off of it through a computer connection (USB).
This might be a simple answer but I know nothing of how the screen interacts with the power in phones like mine, and I am admittedly not tech savvy when it comes to this. Thank you so much for any help, and let me know if you need any more information or pictures.
