will a Puerto Rico Nexus 6 work on Sprint?

I bought this unlocked Nexus 6 on ebay, and the seller is from Puerto Rico. I asked sprint and Motorola if I can use this phone on sprint. They said they cant find the IMEI number on their system. It is a white xt1103.

If truly unlocked putting an already activated sim from another phone is all you should need. Never checked imei with AT&T just put in active sim and used

I've heard that Sprint usually refuses to activate phones not sold by them/not Sprint branded.

Puerto Rico uses same cell bands as US. And Sprint has coverage too.
