Will a Samsung S8 with QC.20 charge faster with 3.0 accesories or 4.0 ones?

Im trying to find an answer for this d*mn question but theres so much data and so little explination about it that Im just getting more confused by the second. Ive been reading that QC 4.0 is backwards compatible with 2.0, does that mean that a S8 with QC2.0 will use the QC4.0 if the accesories are 4.0 compatible or does that only means that 4.0 accesories will work in 2.0 devices but capping at 2.0 limits?

This is usually what "backward compatible" means.

No, the phones internal hardware limits the speed it can charge. A faster charger won't change that, but they are backward compatible and won't damage older phones.
