Will all Note 4 Tempered Glass Screen Protectors have this "Halo" effect?

E-mailed iloome about their curved glass protectors for Note 4.
Their response:
Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for your inquiry. We have prototypes ready for the Note 4, but after testing out the CurveProtectTM protectors (covering the curved areas), we have decided to hold off on that plan and go with a non-CurveProtectTM tempered glass protector (for now). We will be putting up the date of the shipping date on our product page when the final decision is made. We truly do apologize for such delays, but we would rather make an excellent product than to make a product that is just “okay.”

Thank you so much for your continued patience and support, we will not disappoint!

Best Regards,
Brendon

Well, guess I'll keep looking. Unless they've run into issues with their CurveProtect for iPhones, I don't understand why they wouldn't make a similar product for the Note 4.

I just got off the phone with a iloome rep and he told me that the screen protector had round corners and that all 4 corners are round that it wouldn't make any sense to just make the top corners round when the whole screen on the note is round....

Sorry I'm a little confused, I must not be understanding you right - they decided to round just the top corners? Wha?

No.... Someone said that iloome told them that only the top part of the screen protector has rounded corners and when I talk to a rep from iloome he said..... That the screen protector has all 4 corners rounded and that it doesn't make sense just for them just to make the top 2 corners rounded

I'm reading all of this about the iLoome but feel like a dog chasing his tail. Are they working towards a win or not?

This screen protector will be available on the 20th on their Web site... I ordered mine last week so I should be getting it by the 23rd or 24th.. I will let everyone know if it's good or not

I orderd a bear motion version on Amazon. It was only 6.99 and does state it only covers the flat part of the screen. I can't see that being a huge deal, but we'll see.

I feel you.

The answer per iLoome directly is that there are no plans to create an iPhone 6 2.5d-style protector (as of yet), and the best course of action would be a protector that falls just short of the dropped edges on the Note 4.

On XDA, users have posted pictures of the revised Spigen tempered glass protectors and they look great - they are following the idea of iLoome - covering only the flat portion of the glass - but it is barely noticeable, and pretty acceptable if that's what we have to work with.

So I had a nightmare... I dreamed that I dropped my galaxy note 4 and the screen cracked. It was awful. Now I'm thinking about getting one of these screen protectors. Lol.

So reading thru this thread seems to be overall concensus is the iloome screen protector?

I can't have my screen be damaged so bought what I could at the best buy store when I got the note 4, which was the Zagg tempered glass, mirror screen. All they had. It works well but attracts fingerprints like crazy. Hoping iloome or something else will come out soon. Not happy with Zagg right now

Iloome said that it will be sometime in November. Like everyone else they had issues with theirs because of the round corners

I got this from them:

Dear Valued Customer,

My apologies, had the information mixed up. Our CurveProtectTM Note 4 protector will come out in November, and the regular Tempered Note 4 will come out next week.

Sorry for the confusion!

I heard Spigen pulled there's down to remanufacture do to this problem and will rerelease it soon. We shall see.

Ive gone with their tempered glass cases Note 2 - 3 (unfortunately they didn't make one for the N1), and I know when that one is released it will be a boss protector, and their replacement warranty is just superb!

And this is what they told me... Like the saying goes... Ask 5 different people the same question and you get 5 different answers
