Will any usb cord work with charger?

Can I use any usb to micro cord with the wall charger plug portion?

I use a samsung micro usb charger in my car. As long as it's a micro usb with 12v it'll work. If it's more than 12v it'll freak your phone out.

Certainly. The one that came with my ThunderBolt stopped working the first day I had it. Verizon swapped it out with a generic one that I've been using with no problem.

I also had to take the OEM cable back yesterday. It stopped working and battery was actually going down fast when the cable was plugged in.

Also my long time partner nv3 bricked itself on a random micro usb cable. Twas a sad day. I can't tel you how many pictures I'd taken with that thing let alone how many times I'd dropped it. Never had a case, never had a new battery. The last great phone used to make calls.

Not all cables are the same, I had a dollar store cable and it was junk. Then I bought a $20 gold tip wire at radio shark and it worked

Any lead works for me too. I've got about 3 or 4 I use depending on where I'm charging, not sure how I've got so many leads as I don't remember buying any.

Radioshack has devolved from a respectable component outlet to overpriced garbage and consumer electronics in the past 20 years. I'm an IT consultant. I use a wholesale cable supplier across town for my jobs. He gives me a very good price because I do a lot of business with him. When I bought the ThunderBolt I was off for a few days and I didn't want to drive across town. I bought one in Best Buy for $20. One cable! About 2 feet long.

I needed a few more because I like to keep a few in different places (i.e. work bag, suitcase, home office, bedroom, etc).

The next week I went to my cable supplier. I bought 3 6-foot cables for $3.59/ea. They all work fine.

This is on a digital platform mind you. It's criminal to think how much they charge hdmi cables for. I got a 6 foot hdmi cable for less than 10 bucks on newegg. Sucker tax.
