Will d/loaded apps on current Google account transfer to Nexus7?

Hello all!

I currently own a Samsung Captivate Glide as my main Android device. I was wondering - will signing in on my (yet to arrive), Nexus 7 upon login - transfer all of my current apps onto the device?

If not - would I be charged again for downloading them onto the same account? I know that Apple sometimes charges more for tablet-modified apps, and was curious as to if Android may too. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

No it will not transfer all of them automatically. But you will be able to re-download all your apps (unless incompatible with device) Through google play. Everything is synced through your google account.

And you won't have to re-pay for them.

yes you can redownload them on any android device you get. Also if you ever factory reset your device you can choose to restore (during setup) and all the apps, settings, etc., you had prior to the reset will auto redownload.
