Will the hard case from VZ that fits the D1 fit the D2?

probably not, the body is rounded off and the top piece now has that silver lining that extends over the chin at the bottom

No the old D1 case will not fit the D2. D2 hard case from VZ is molded to fit the new phone.

No they will not fit ! The Droid 2 is a totally different form factor. There are a few sites on Google selling Droid 2 Cases pretty reasonably priced. Hope this helps !
