Will data consumed while using at-home WiFi count against my data usage cost in Project Fi?

A

AC Question

Google explains that the cost is $10/mo per GB in their new Project Fi pricing. It uses different mobile networks and WiFi hotspots to provide that data. So if, for example, I'm at home on my WiFi network and watch 1 GB worth of Netflix streaming, will that count as data consumed under Project Fi's definition? It seems like the charge should come from using cellular towers (and perhap also public wifi hotspots that Google has vetted) for data but I shouldn't be charged for using data while at normal wifi.
