I got a bionic with a cracked screen and have been experiencing issues since the last update like random reboots, turn off by itself, data drops, and just recently the headphone jack stopped working. If i send it off to verizon to get it replaced will i get charged??? Oh and I've had bionic since launch

Yes, the warranty is voided with physical damage.

You could try and talk to Verizon and be up front about it. However, it all depends on the representative you speak with. I heard their cracking down on damaged devices being claimed for warranties.

If you've already sent it in, it might slide by. They see a lot of phones and I'm sure whoever checks them in is an hourly employee that cares as much about their job as someone working at McDonald's.

That's pretty risky. You don't want to end up with an unexpected $500 VZW bill. I also had a cracked screen and defective device that I wanted replaced under warranty. I ended up fixing the screen myself first and then shipping it back to them. Costs about $50 to repair it yourself. That's cheaper than paying insurance deductible if you have it.
