Will i get new updates on my note 8 if I activate it on the Metro Pcs Carrier

I'm planning on buying a note 8 and I want to activate it to metro PCS. I stay Wondering if I would still get updates for it such as the Oreo update 8.0. or does it not matter what carrier I have?

Well as a previous District manager of Metro AND T-Mobile, the service quality on Metro is not the best, and now for about the same price with taxes included T-Mobile offers much better service everywhere. Metro uses T-Mo's old towers to offer cheaper rates, and you won't have as good of an experience with the Note 8 capabilities when it comes to their LTE radios.

Yeah T-Mobile has upgraded their towers to even beat VZW, and the price difference now between T and Metro is a couple bucks without a contract and you get the best network for your buck and your latest device. My pleasure

For me I want a plan for 5 people since at metro I'd normally pay 160 is everything month. Don't know how much it'll cost at T-Mobile since the only options I've seen is plans for 4 people.
But if changing my plan for T-Mobile is a bust will I still get updates for the note 8?
