PS. If you plan to get the Verizon version, you also should take into account the phone having locked bootloader and bloatwares.
Would people please quit repeating the nonsense about the Verizon Nexus having a locked bootloader?
Are the people repeating this not aware that even the Nexus One had a locked bootloader?
A locked bootloader is not the same as a locked and encrypted bootloader, folks. The encrypted bootloaders -- like those from Motorola -- are the ones that cause problems.
That's kinda like asking "Will I like chocolate chip ice cream because I like vanilla ice cream?"![]()
ICS is the future of Android for 2012. You may as well get used to it. Get on board early.I'm enjoying my rooted Dinc running CM7. I really use the hell out of my free wifi hotspot, and I like the customization freedom of CM7. I want a larger phone though and I'm eyeballing the Nexus.
Will I like ICS?
Nah, it's more like will I like ice cream sandwiches if I like gingerbread.![]()
The nexus bootloader won't be locked, and as you said a locked bootloader is not a real problem. It is the encrypted like moto does that have yet to be cracked and are the ones that limit the dev support.
lol. Maybe or maybe not.
I have had my hands on GN about 3months ago. It was DIFFERENT than what we have been using.
No menu button feels weird + especially when you want to edit contacts on your phone.
But you will get used to it![]()
